§ Mr. Peter ReesMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment has welcomed the Audit Commission's report on capital expenditure controls in local government in England—Vol. 78, column 786. Account will be taken of it in his review of the local authority capital control system and any action will follow the conclusion of that review.
