§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe Health and Safety Executive, as a participant in the pesticides safety precautions scheme, studies all relevant information when considering a pesticide for clearance. Clearances are reviewed in the light of any significant new information. As a result, the clearance for use of certain organochlorine pesticides has been withdrawn and the use of others severely restricted.
