§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe latest information on the percentage of household income spent on the purchase or alteration of dwellings relates to owner-occupier households in the family expenditure survey for 1982. The following table sets out the figures in respect of gross normal income and normal disposable income. Households in the owner-occupied sector accounted for 56 per cent. of all households in the 1982 survey.
