§ Mr. Allan Stewart,[pursuant to his reply, 13 May 1985, c. 56]: The estimated net decreases in employment in the shipbuilding and marine engineering industry in manufacturing units with 11 or more employees between 1979 and 1984 were 12,000 in Scotland and 9,000 in Strathclyde region; estimates for the Greenock travel-to-work area are subject to disclosure restriction. The estimates are based on the regional data system.
