§ Mr. ButlerLicences issued by the Ministry of Defence cover a wide variety of purposes including the commercial use of designs and inventions resulting from work done in its research and development establishments; the use of defence lands; the occupation of married quarters, and other activities. No central record is kept, and it would be impracticable to provide a full list with dates of operation.
