§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the allocations for individual health boards for 1985–86, and if he will submit a table indicating the increase in real terms for each health board over 1984–85 as well as the average for the whole of Scotland in both percentage and actual terms.
§ Mr. John MacKayGross recurrent expenditure allocations to boards for the hospital and community health services in 1985–86 amounted to £1,353 million. The net cash limited allocations to individual boards for recurrent expenditure, after expected income is taken into account, are shown in column(a) following. The average increase of 5.5 per cent, in resources shown at columns (b) and (c) is intended to cover inflation costs and to meet new demands for health care.
