§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when Her Majesty's Government will respond to the report of the Farm Animal Welfare Council on the welfare of livestock (red meat animals) at the time of slaughter.
§ Mrs. FennerThe council's report is being carefully considered, together with the many comments on it which have been received by the Government from interested organisations. The report raises a number of important and complex issues but we plan to issue our response to it as soon as possible.
