§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing (a) the annual proceeds from sales of public sector assets and (b) the impact on the public sector borrowing requirement of these asset sales, in both cases from 1979 to date.
The direct effect of such sales is to reduce the PSBR by a corresponding amount.
