§ Mr. Chris PattenLondonderry airport is operated by the Derry city council in accordance with the terms of the Aerodromes Act (NI) 1971, which is administered by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. Financial support for the purpose of the airport is provided by Deny city council. A capital grant of £31,684 was paid by the Department to the city council for specific airport facilities in 1980.
