§ Sir George YoungMy right hon. Friend continues to review local authorities' powers in the light of representations which he receives. My Department is carrying out research which involves examining the condition of the HMO stock and local authorities' use of the existing legislation. My right hon. Friend wishes to see the outcome of this research before deciding whether further measures are necessary.
