§ Dr. David Clarkasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he intends to publish (a) a Green Paper and (b) a White Paper on the rural estate.
§ Mrs. Fenner[pursuant to her reply, 7 May 1985, c. 322]: One of the recommendations of the House of Commons Environment Committee's first report, on the operation and effectiveness of part II of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, was that the Government should undertake a review of the whole use of the rural estate and produce a White Paper. The Government's response to that report, which will include a reply to this recommendation, will be issued shortly.
