However, my Department understands that the number of prefabricated concrete dwellings built before 1960 by local authorities and other public sector 417W bodies in the Basildon district council area is 80, the number in Essex approximately 4,500, and the number in the United Kingdom as a whole some 170,000, of which 16,500 are now in private ownership.
