§ Mr. GowThe Government will publish tomorrow a Green Paper outlining new proposals to improve the condition of private housing in England and Wales. My Department has asked English local authorities for a report on the condition of their housing stock. The results are expected in July.
Gross housing provision in England in the current year is £3,051 million, of which a substantial part will be spent on improving public sector housing.
