§ Rev. Martin Smythasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he last met representatives of the Royal College of Nursing in Northern Ireland to discuss the findings of the review body on pay for nurses, midwives and health visitors; and if it is his intention that the full recommendations of the review body should be implemented in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Chris Patten[pursuant to his reply, 3 May 1985, c. 266]: Neither my right hon. Friend nor I have had such a meeting. Pay awards made to nursing staff in the National Health Service will be applied in Northern Ireland.
