§ Mr. Michael Forsythasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what were the reasons which prevented his Department from announcing the route of the Dunblane bypass as promised at the end of March or April; and whether he is now in a position to announce the proposed line of the bypass.
§ Mr. AncramThe Scottish Development Department had hoped to receive by the end of March or April the report of the consultants studying possible lines for the bypass, but their discussions with local landowners have taken longer than expected. The report is now expected this month. Once a preferred line has been selected, a draft trunk road order will be published as quickly as possible.
