§ Sir George YoungLDDC's draft development framework for the royal docks area contains a range of proposals for recreational facilities which will make extensive use of the wide expanses of water in the royals. An operational STOLport would restrict the sports that could be undertaken on water immediately surrounding the airport. The corporation anticipates, however, that the size of the water area available in the royals will mean that the STOLport will be entirely compatible with plans for a wide range of water-based activities.
