HC Deb 02 May 1985 vol 78 cc215-6W
Mr. Soley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the prisoner referred to in the answer of 17 April, Official Report, column 169, as having died of natural causes, kidney failure, died of untreated renal failure or despite treatment.

Mr. Mellor

The prisoner concerned died whilst in a National Health Service hospital where she had been admitted some two months previously. It would not be appropriate for me to comment on the treatment given to an individual patient which is a matter for the consultant concerned.
