HL Deb 02 May 1985 vol 463 cc468-9WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have any evidence to suggest that Miss Hilda Murrell was killed by an agent or agents employed by their Secret Services.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office (Lord Glenarthur)

No. I have nothing to add to the assurances already given by my honourable friend the Minister of State in his letter of 28th December 1984 to the honourable Member for Linlithgow, a copy of which I am placing in the Library of the House, that allegations about Government intelligence services being involved in this case are totally without foundation.
