asked the Attorney-General what information he has as to the amount paid out in legal aid in cases involving alleged medical negligence by health authorities in each of the last three years.

Information is not available in the form requested. The statistics kept of legal aid granted in medical negligence cases are not broken down by type of defendant. The gross cost to the legal aid fund of medical negligence cases, including those involving alleged medical negligence by health authorities, was as follows:
