§ Mrs. ChalkerLRT estimates that some 260,000 child rate photocards were issued through London post offices between August 1984, when they were first made available, and 1 April 1985. This total excludes photocards issued through local education authorities, for which figures are not available.
137WThe number of 14 and 15-year-olds resident in Greater London at the present time is estimated at about 180,000. The issue of child rate photocards is not restricted to London residents.
