§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list all those organisations which receive Government funding for educational work on family planning matters and state the total amount awarded to each organisation in the latest year for which figures are available.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke:We provide grants for educational work on family planning matters to the following organisations:
Family Planning Association
£138,000 per annum for three years commencing 1 January 1984.
Brook Advisory Centres
£35,000 per annum for three years commencing 1 April 1984.
Catholic Marriage Advisory Council
£34,000 per annum for two years commencing 1 April 1984.
We also support, through the Health Education Council, the family planning information service which produces literature on family planning education. Some health authorities may provide funds for such work, but we do not know the amounts involved.
