§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will institute a survey to determine the number of hours a week devoted to (a) National Health Service work and (b) private practice by consultants, broken down by specialty, by region and by type of contract, whether whole-time, maximum part-time or part-time, honorary.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke:A survey as suggested by the hon. Member would not be of operational value to the National Health Service and we have no plans to commission one.
