§ 46. Dr. Mawhinneyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has had a request from the chief constable of Cambridgeshire to increase his establishment due to the extra demands of policing RAF Molesworth.
§ Mr. Giles ShawThe Cambridgeshire police authority has not applied for any permanent addition to its establishment but it has recently applied for five additional police posts on a supernumerary basis. My right hon. and learned Friend is considering the application in the light of advice from Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary, and the police authority will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
