§ Mr. Giles ShawThe chief constable of Merseyside was a member of a group, including representatives of Government Departments and the police service, who visited Washington last week. The purpose of the visit was to discuss with representatives of the United States Government matters of mutual interest related to our efforts to counter terrorism, as part of our regular contacts with the United States and other Governments on these matters.
