§ Sir Paul Bryanasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many representations he has received from hon. Members urging the case for improved tax treatment for British shipping; and how many he has received urging him to resist such treatment.
§ Mr. MooreHon. Members have referred to me some 26 representations made to them seeking improved tax treatment for British shipping. Thirteen hon. Members have themselves expressed support. Further views were made known when the shipping industry was debated in the House on 17 December. I am not aware of any other representations on the subject.
