§ Sir Keith JosephBased on the latest assessment of pay costs by the employers' secretariat, it is estimated that the 4 per cent. pay offer if divided equally among all teachers in maintained nursery, primary and secondary schools in England and Wales, would produce an increase of about £390 per annum on basic pay for each full-time teacher.
