§ Mr. Craigenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has now received proposals from the joint working party in Strathclyde proposing the establishment of a rural aid fund, along similar lines to the urban aid programme; and when he intends to meet representatives of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities to follow up the proposed introduction of such a fund.
§ Mr. Allan StewartThe proposals of the joint working party were submitted to my right hon. Friend on 1 March, and are being considered. We have had no approach on the matter from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
