Member for Cheltenham (Mr. Irving), Official Report, 1 May 1984, column 120, regarding the total additional cost to the Refreshment Department of the House of sitting from (a) 10.30 pm to midnight and (b) from midnight to 2 am; and if he will give similar estimates for such periods after 2 am as figures are conveniently available.

§ Mr. BeithThe estimated approximate additional cost of employing the necessary, hourly paid, staff of the Refreshment Department when the House sits from 10.30 pm to midnight is £75, from midnight to 2 am is £175 and from 2 am onwards is £77 per hour.
