asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the meeting on 5 March with the trades unions to discuss the future of the resettlement units and re-establishment centres.

At the meeting with the Departmental trade union side held on 5 March we discussed the content of my hon. Friend's announcement on 5 February at columns548–9 on the future of resettlement units and re-establishment centres and in particular the regional consultation programme which is shortly to be launched.
