The available information relates to proceedings for offences under the Firearms Act 1968 and the aggregate figures are published annually in "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales, Supplementary Tables"—for 1983 in Tables S1.1(A), Vol. 1 — magistrates' courts and S1.1(A), Vol. 2 — the Crown Court, under offence classifications 81 and 115.
