§ Mr. MacfarlaneThe current scale of fees is laid down in the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) Regulations 1983. Fees are estimated to raise a total revenue of about £32.3 million in the present financial year, as a contribution towards the overall costs of development control to local authorities of about £73 million.
