§ Mr. GoodladThe authority's work for the Department will be put on a customer-contractor basis. But the nature of the contractual relationship will vary from area to area and the authority will remain an important source of advice on the programmes it executes for the Department, as well as being one of a number of sources of advice available to the Government on nuclear issues generally. No unnecessary apparatus will be built up in the Department to duplicate the resources of the authority.
