§ Mr. LeeThere are no plans to revise the present system of recruitment to county infantry regiments. Applicants to the infantry are allowed to apply for three regiments and are counselled by recruiting staff when making their choice. Final acceptance to a regiment is dependent upon a number of factors including: the candidate's abilities; the vacancy state in the regiment of the candidate's choice; the needs of the service.
