§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his answer of 4 March, Official Report, column 368, how the pay and conditions of teaching staff in the British embassy school in Bonn, who are currently paid under the Burnham scale appropriate to teachers working in England and Wales, will be affected by the change in the constitution of the School Committee.
§ Mr. RentonAs I said in my answer to the hon. Member on 4 March, the British embassy school in Bonn is not the direct responsibility of Her Majesty's Government. I am told that pay and conditions are at present being discussed by the management committee with the teachers and that the prospect is that pay and conditions will remain very considerably above Burnham levels.
