§ Mr. WhitneyAnnual spending on supplementary benefit for people in all forms of board and lodging 111W accommodation, based on the annual statistical inquiry showing the position at December of each year, is given in the table. 1983 figures are provisional. Estimates are not yet available for December 1985, although on the basis of present trends we have indicated there would be a further dramatic increase if no action were taken to curb expenditure.
