§ Mr. Waddington[pursuant to his reply, 25 February 1985, c. 29]: The available information about absconding relates to the 454 persons against whom illegal entry action commenced in the period 1 April to 30 September 1984. As at 28 February 1985, of the 194 of those who had been granted temporary release on or at some time after the commencement of illegal entry action 6 had absconded.
