Mr. Bermingham

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people convicted of sex offences are currently on probation conditional upon their receiving some form of medical or psychological therapy.

[pursuant to his reply, 4 March 1985, c. 351–52]: The latest available information is for 30 June 1983, when it is estimated about 250 people convicted of indictable sexual offences were being supervised on probation orders including a requirement for psychiatric treatment.
