§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe number registered unemployed in Wales in January 1979 was 28,090 a rate of 6.5 per cent. and in January 1982 51,246 a rate of 12.0 per cent. Information available for January 1985 relates to claimants, of whom there were 53,809, a rate of 12.3 per cent.
