Mr. Kenneth Carlisle

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many applications for assistance are currently being considered by the trustees of the national heritage memorial fund; and what is the total value of such applications under consideration in each of the following categories (a) buildings, (b) art objects, paintings etc. (c) manuscripts and archives, (d) industrial history, transport and maritime history, (e) scenic and amenity land and (f) nature conservation and land of scientific interest.

I understand the trustees of the national heritage memorial fund currently have 29 applications under consideration, made up as follows:
