HC Deb 07 March 1985 vol 74 c592W
Dr. Godman

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many representations he has received from members of the public with regard to the Government's proposals to limit the range of drugs available on the National Health Service.

Mr. Chris Patten

Five.

Rev. Martin Smyth

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether it is his intention that the limited list of drugs prescribable on the National Health Service in Northern Ireland should be identical to that in England, Scotland and Wales.

Mr. Chris Patten

[pursuant to his reply, 5 March 1985]: Yes. In accordance with the long standing principal of parity in the provision of health services, the same list will be applied in Northern Ireland.
