§ Mr. Haynesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many new hospital developments have taken place in the Trent health region since May 1979; and if he will list them.
§ Mr. John Patten[pursuant to his reply, 4 March 1985]: The following 11 developments each costing more than £2 million have been completed since May 1979:
- Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital.
- Glenfield District General Hospital, Phase I.
- Bassetlaw Hospital, Phase I.
- Leicester General Hospital, Mental Illness Unit.
- Leicester Royal Infirmary, Phase III.
- Lincoln County Hospital, Phase I.
- Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, Phase II.
- Rotherham District General Hospital, Phase II.
- Kings Mill Hospital, Outpatients Department.
- Keresforth Centre, Barnsley.
- Kendray Hospital, Barnsley, Phase I.
Nine more schemes are currently under construction and a further eight schemes are due to start in 1985–86.
