§ Mrs. ChalkerWe are still looking at the possibility of contracting out trunk road maintenance as recommended in the Inbucon report and we will shortly be consulting the Association of County Councils on the matter. In addition we are considering the scope for contracting-out maintenance work on lengths of motorway in the metropolitan areas.
