§ Mr. Wareingasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts how many representations the Minister for the Arts has received about the future of the Philharmonic hall in Liverpool; what his response has been; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Waldegrave[pursuant to his reply, 14 February 1985, c. 245]: My right hon. and noble Friend the Minister for the Arts has received several representations from members of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society about the future of the Philharmonic hall in Liverpool. He has undertaken to consult the society in the course of preparation of the relevant property order provided for in clause 92 of the Local Government Bill.
