§ Mr. Wareingasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts how many representations the Minister for the Arts has received about the future of Croxteth hall, Liverpool; what his response has been; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Waldegrave[pursuant to his reply, 14 February 1985, c. 245]: My right hon. and noble Friend the Minister for the Arts met representatives of the Croxteth community Forum. He advised them that in his view Croxteth does not fall within the terms of clause 44 of the Local Government Bill. It will be transferred to Liverpool city council after the abolition of Merseyside county council.
