§ Mr. BrookeMy right hon. Friend has received some 11,000 representations since he announced the proposed changes in student grants for 1985–86 last November. The Government have announced that the main rates of grant will be increased by around 3 per cent. in 1985–86. Details of those rates will be issued as soon as practicable.
