HC Deb 04 March 1985 vol 74 c349W
Mr. Pike

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the circumstances regarding the sounding of the four minute warning siren in north east Lancashire on Thursday 28 February.

Mr. Giles Shaw

The sirens were sounded because of a fault in the testing procedure during the installation of new equipment. The fault is now being remedied.
