§ Mr. MacGregorThe method of calculating the levy applicable in the United Kingdom remains as explained by my right hon. Friend in his reply of 22 December 1981 at column 362. However, when the monetary compensatory amount (MCA) is negative, as at present, the MCA is deducted from the levy. The MCA and monetary coefficients set for the United Kingdom are, of course, subject to variation.
