HL Deb 04 March 1985 vol 460 c1197WA
Lord Boyd-Carpenter

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make a statement on the future use of empty apartments at Hampton Court Palace.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (The Earl of Avon)

My department with the agreement of the keeper of the Privy Purse propose to commission consultants to advise on the feasibility of leasing apartments in Fountain Court at Hampton Court Palace to substantial companies. Twelve apartments are at present vacant and require major refurbishment.
