§ Mr. BrookeBritish members of the staff of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) receive the same annual adjustments to their salaries as all CERN staff members of whatever nationality. The adjustments are decided by the Council of CERN, taking into account an annual index which is determined by increases in the cost of living in Geneva and any real net increases in local and central government salaries in Switzerland.
