§ Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) when he expects to be able to announce additional derelict land allocations for 1985–86 for uncommitted schemes which can be commenced in that financial year;
(2) if he plans any changes in the system of making derelict land allocations;
(3) what representations he has received regarding the present system of making derelict land grant allocations; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneMy right hon. Friend announced the derelict land grant allocations for 1985–86 on 7 February. Approvals for uncommitted schemes will be made in line with available resources and priorities. We are in constant touch with the local authorities and other bodies over various aspects of the derelict land grant programme. I have no immediate proposals to change the current system.
